Data Visualization Engineer

Duties:

Lead and Manage Enterprise Data warehousing and Business intelligence projects using relational databases such as Teradata, MS SQL SERVER and Oracle database. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Create the high-level design document from the business and functional requirements, build prototype, work with Architects to design the architecture based on the client’s requirements, and operationally manage access to the environments. Objective of Design activity is to understand the requirement and analysis the difficulty and provide best solution for the project. This job duty requires in depth knowledge of available Reporting, ETL process, DB configurations and Business requirements. Create requirements that involve data integration using Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server and Big data Tools, reporting using Looker Studio & Tableau and Maintenance of various applications. Building frameworks to automate the data flow between received files to Hadoop, and from Hadoop to different databases based on the requirements. Use Informatica as ETL tool to pull data from source systems/ files, cleansing, transform and load data into the Teradata using Teradata Utilities. Implement Agile/Scrum methods and tools such as JIRA, RALLY for successful project implementation. Serve as technical expert in Data Modelling – star schema, snowflake schema, data warehousing and business intelligence concepts, and running PL/SQL queries. Load data from Hadoop to GCP using Dataproc. Work on mapping documents for loading the data from Hadoop to different databases on Cloud AWS. Ensuring the team adheres to Scrum ceremonies like Daily Scrum/stand up, Story Point Estimation, Sprint Planning, Backlog refinement, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospectives. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Resolve Problem Management, Incident Management, Maintain Security Standards to govern access rights, Disaster Recovery, Minor and Major Enhancements, Data and User Management, Production control and scheduling, Ad hoc requests, Emergency requests for critical reporting needs. This position is for a roving employee who will work at 4030 Old Milton Parkway, Suite 200, Alpharetta, Georgia 30005 and various unanticipated worksite locations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field of study, together with Five (5) years of progressive experience in any related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Previous work experience or academic coursework must have included experience with: Cloud database technologies, including GCP & AWS; Big Data and Enterprise Data technologies,
including Hadoop Ecosystem, Teradata, Oracle and SQL Server; Business intelligence reporting and analytics tools, including Looker, Tableau and OBIEE; Working with Unix environments; Data Modelling using star schema, snowflake schema, and LookML; Agile / SCRUM methodology; and Development tools, including ASP.Net, C#, and JavaScript.
